What do you do when a life long friend gets a deal to have a book published but the new publisher insists you change the price of the e-book you created for him or drop it as a condition for his new contract? Do you let them dictate your business practices to you or do you stand firm while your friend squirms? 

In this case I will take the first option and increase the price nearly double (which will no doubt decrease sales numbers) so that George can get a book deal with a hopefully reputable publishing house. Hopefully. Let us hope George will make the money they are dangling in front of him and not be short-changed down the road as so often happens with cartoonists and book publishers. 

I hear all the time about book deals that never get beyond an advance check, myself included in that category.
